Team 4 - Jaylen, Assisting - Matthew, Goal - Backpacking portion of Cooking MB

Each team should plan on cooking for 3 people.  Team leader responsible for menu, necessary cooking gear, budget, and buying food per the requirements for 1st Class or Cooking MB. Cook may split food cost and go shopping with Assistant if they want (not required).

Meals to plan are Saturday Lunch, Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast.  Remember that this is backpacking and think about Kings Mountain Campout training.

Others attending and dependent on the team’s meal prep are... “The Leaders - Mr Lodmell, Mr Webster, Dr Phillips, and Mr Eaton”.  Awards will be given to each team based on the food served.”

Your cooking team is not necessarily your tenting team.  Scouts need to make tenting arrangements tonight.  Hammocks allowed for First Class Scouts and up.

Troop Gear list will be finalized tonight. Cooks are responsible for cooking and clean up gear, but you can check out cooking equipment from the quartermaster.  You just need to plan ahead.

If you do not have a key piece of equipment for yourself or for your cooking team, please let your Patrol Leader or Senior Patrol Leader know, and they can discuss with me.  We will make sure that everyone has what they need, but only if planned ahead of time.  This would include tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, etc.

Please direct any questions to your Patrol Leader or Senior Patrol leader and they can handle or make a plan with a Scoutmaster.
